Reach:
Jesus clearly gave the church instructions to preach the gospel to everyone - everywhere.
Mat 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
Evangelism is a part of each of our services. An invitation is given to receive Jesus as Savior at almost every service. We are not making a statement about any other church doing or not doing this - it is just the way we are led. Folks will hear the gospel and be given a chance to respond to that gospel.
We have many events througout the year as an outreach to the lost. We have picnics on our front lawn, movie nights, an alternative to Halloween, Christmas and Resurrection services, as well as missions and many other efforts to fulfill the Great Commission.

Teach:
Calvary Chapels are known for their expository teaching of God's word - the Bible. If you are familiar with Calvary Chapel you will feel right at home. If you are not familiar with Calvary - we think you will be refreshingly surprised at how understandable God's word can be, when taken verse-by-verse and studied in context. Pastor John has a humourous, easy to understand "style" of teaching with very practical applications to everyday life. We think you will find the teaching ministry at Calvary Central to be one of our strong points.

Mend:
Luk 4:17-21 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written, 18 "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, 19 TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD." 20 And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
Very few of us have had the opportunity to be raised in a perfect environment! Unfortunately living in a sinful and fallen world has taken its toll on all of us. Jesus changes all of that. The first step, of course, is to give our hearts to Him and let Him reign there. As we do this, He begins the healing process. The church was never meant to be a "country club" for the saints. It was meant to be a hospital for the broken and weary. We come into the "E.R." a mess, but leave whole. In time we find ourselves back in the "E.R.", but this time as one helping with the healing of another broken soul. Jesus makes all things beautiful in His time!

Send:
We have come full-circle in our Great Commission. As stated in the "Reach" portion of this page: "Jesus clearly gave the church instructions to preach the gospel to everyone - everywhere."
As a church, we have seen the birth of several new works: Calvary Chapel Goodyear, Calvary Chapel Arcadia, and our Arrowhead Campus to name a few. But the "sending" part of our Vision is not just church planting. Each week, prayerfully, we "send" each and every one that attends Calvary Chapel back into their homes and work places equipped to share the gospel with their friends, family and co-workers. The church plants will always be few in comparison to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believers! Above our main sanctuary exit door there is a sign that reads, "YOU ARE NOW ENTERING THE MISSION FIELD!" The average Christian spends only a few hours a week in church services, but they are "sent" into the world to be a witness for Christ full-time.
