Phoenix Campus!

Our Central Phoenix Campus started as a home Bible study led by Pastor John Brown in 1985. The study grew to around thirty people and Calvary Chapel Central Phoenix was born. We soon moved from the home group to Glenview Elementary School, but the move was brief. Within three months we relocated to The Phoenix Design Plaza at 4700 N. Central Avenue. The Lord blessed and we grew. We even ended up renting apartments behind the complex for Sunday School rooms. At the end of four years we lost that lease to a higher bidder and were forced to make a rather rapid move. We ended up renting a church facility at 821 W. Flower for another six years. Then the Lord opened the doors at 2647 W. Glendale Avenue for 3 and a half years. Finally, after 14 years we bought own facility where we currently reside at 2831 W. Glendale Avenue. (Click here if you want to read the wonderful testimony of how the Lord provided so that we could purchase our place!)
Calvary Central has approximately 500 adults and 150 children currently attending. We are neither the largest Calvary Chapel in Phoenix nor are we the smallest. We are simply who the Lord has called us to be. All the Calvarys in Arizona are wonderful places to fellowship and pastored by some of the greatest guys I know. Find the Calvarys that are closest to you and try out several of them. The Lord will show you which one to call "home." If we can help you in your search for a new church home, or answer any questions you might have about Jesus, please feel free to email us. |
